The Moonlit Oddyssey CH 2
CHAPTER 2
Naomi's morning usually consists of basic hygiene, breakfast, and then getting dressed. Since she has been living alone for 2 years she's become very comfortable in her home.
Naomi made her way to the bathroom to wash her face and fill her head with all that she has to do today. Planning to adorn her yukata after breakfast she set it aside in her bedroom and headed for the kitchen. She made rice and steamed some vegetables. She set her food on the table and bowed her head in prayer. Looking up she found a very peculiar dent in what was a perfectly round scoop of rice. Bewildered she looked around the room, but found she did not have to look far because across the table from her was a young man. His skin was pale but just shy of unhealthy and his hair was a surprising reddish orange. Naomi had never seen anyone who looked like this.
Naomi's face had a confused look on her face. She was so confused by his features that she had forgotten that he was an intruder in her house. "I appreciate the rice but I'd like it if you didn't stare." He said as though she was familiar to him. "Well, this was my house before it was yours so.. But don't worry I'm not putting you out" Naomi was instantly confused by his words since her parents lived there before she was born. Naomi was 20 and the man before her didn't look older than 23. "How about I make you some tea" she said abruptly. The man was surprised "I don't want to trouble you, although I do have some things I'd like to discuss with you". "Its no trouble at all just wait right there" said Naomi whilst heading to kitchen.
She shut the door behind her and began searching through drawers and baskets. Naomi's face lit up as she pulled out a tranquilizer dart. She loaded one into the chamber and sat right at the edge of the door. Then she sneakily aimed for the man's neck and blew. Bewildered, he grabbed his neck and started losing consciousness. "Yes!" Said Naomi before dragging his body to another room. As she moved him she thought about what he had said. She wondered if there was any truth to what he had said. She then recalled the closet that her parents had put all of the previous owners abandoned items. Curious, she looked through the dusty photographs and found one of what looked to be someone of great nobility with a great likeness to the man that had appeared. "Shit" she said realizing that this will be much more than she bargained for.
