Healthy snacks and pizza Fridays
This weekend I tried a few new snacks that I saw randomly on social media and tried a different method for the weekend pizza that I like to make as an easy dinner that my family loves.
I first tried possibly the easiest snack to put together which is like a rice cake sandwich. I've seen some with nutella and banana slices or Guacamole with boiled or fried egg. I choose to go with chunky peanut butter and a drizzle of honey with 2 unsalted rice cakes. It was really good and full of protein. I have been wanting more protein rich snacks to help maintain my gains 💪🏽
Another snack that I might implement for my sweet and sour cravings is the Oui dairy free yogurts. I've tried the vanilla one before but this time I tried the Strawberry (and later tried some of the Mango one that my husband got) It was good as well. The thing that makes this a good alternative for full dairy yogurt is the same reason I can't eat too much of it. The tangy after taste that makes it taste yogurt-like is something I don't like a lot of so it will be an occasional snack.
For my Friday pizza, I actually ended up doing it on Saturday because my mom made us Spaghetti. (The vlog days Sunday because I got mixed up in editing) I usually make a French bread pizza but this time I decided to try the pre-made pizza crusts they had in the store. I made it the same way I make my French bread pizza, garlic butter, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. It was drier than the French bread and crunchy in a more stale bread sort of way after baking it. I definitely missed the soft, deep dish texture of the French bread. It's good but next time I'll experiment with actual pre-made pizza dough.
And for the rest of the vlog I accidentally didn't add it because I thought that the Saturday footage was the Sunday footage because I didn't do much on Saturday.
That's all for now.
Stay Hydrated! 🥤
